This is a vintage, 20th century, Mid Century Modern style and era, signed and dated 1964 painting on canvas depicting San Marco Square in Venice, Italy that was painted by Regis de Bouvier De Cachard (b. 1929). Cachard was born in France and a member of the French aristocracy. He became the youngest student, at age 14, to attend the art school, Ecole Boulle. In the 1960's he maintained studios in New York, Los Angeles, Venice, London, St Tropez and Normandy, though Venice was his favorite area to capture on canvas.
