Hello Milka, I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal, Considering the photographs, overall pattern, porcelain quality and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Painted and Decorated Dona Pottery marked set of Vases from Art Export Saigon. The pieces were marked as K9 as well with ceramic carving. The pieces were likely produced soon after the Vietnam War between the period from 1975 to 1985. The set was decorated with a technique called "Sgrafitto" which is a technique that the decoration is formed by carving another layer of the vase. These layers were then coloured and the motif were amde clear. The set is composed of one larger and one smaller piece. Both have cherry blossoms, sakura florala figures on them as well as bird, parrot motifs carved. The execution quality nd painting quality is average for the period and the pieces were made for export purposes. The ceramic quality is low andthiscan be observed on the flawed physical appearance of the surface with inclusions. The pieces are categorised as vintage items and do have collectible value as well as decorational value. The set is in good condition without any significant visible problems. Entirely hand knotted. Dimensions: Larger Piece: 2.8 Feet High, Smaller Piece: 2 Feet High Condition: The set is in good condition without any significant visible problems. Provenance: Received as a gift by the current owner in 1989. 200-350$ for the set.
