Nazi Boars Tusk Sword Cane

This is a WW 2 Nazi era sword cane with the handle made from a wild boar's tusk. The tusk has a swastika on the base. It has a hidden thin carbon steel sword attached to the handle & housed in a wooden cane. I also believe it is Sterling that is used on the tusk & where the sword & wood cane come together. The blade has a blood groove & fits snuggled tightly into the wooden cane housing. It's 36 inches from top to bottom.. It is tapered in thickness...1.5 centimeters at the bottom & 2 cm at the top of rh housing. There is the number 5 on the sword. Possibly a count on how many were made. Germans were meticulous with record keeping..

Dear Michael, Thank you for the additional image and my sincere apologies for the delay. The presented object appears to be a sword cane decorated with a swastika from the Nazu period 1933-1945 in Germany. The blade is hallmarked with a 5 which is probably a model number by the blade manufacturer. This sword cane is probably a custom-made item. I am not sure if the handle was made out of boar tusk because they are usually much smaller. The material could be bone or ivory. This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. A fair market estimation would be between 600 to 1.200 USD. This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary. With kind regards, Georg
