This is a late 19th to early 20th century tea 'butler' side table by Maple & Co of Tottenham Court Rd in London, England. This mahogany side table is done with a bi-fold opening top containing a removable glass tray, over a storage receptacle over French Provincial Louis style cabriole legs. It is more unique tea serving table with notated patented elements used for its construction. Maple & Co was established in the early 19th century by John Maple and their furniture graced the homes of the aristocracy throughout the Victorian and Edwardian eras. WWII saw the beginning of the decline to the firm which became Maple, Waring & Gillow in the 1980s and taken over wholly by 1997 by retailer Allders.
