For Erin Marie. My mother's name is Del so If you see this scribed on the base, this is her.
Inherited from mother
Dear Gregory,
Good morning to you and thank you for your patience. Please find the following information regarding this Hummel figurine, "Lost Stocking" from you mother's collection. In the case of this piece I would recommend selling it through an online venue like EBay, Etsy or Ruby Lane, these and similar online selling venues have a history of selling Hummel ceramic figurines and have a global reach to collectors. Having the boxes will not only make them more desirable but easy to ship.
For each piece and/or set I've included the date name and descriptive details you should know about the piece. This example, dedicated to your mother, would have been obtained at a Hummel collector's event. These were hosted by retail sales galleries and Hummel would send artists and designers as company representatives who would autograph the bases of the pieces to commemorate the event. I wan unable to decipher who this artist is.
#374, Lost Stocking, TMK-7, 1991 – Present; base signed and with box.
Sincerely,
Erin-Marie
